Bio for Louie & Georgia Guenther with Mixed Company:
In 1962 Wesley Floyd and Lester (Lafe) Popejoy gave Louie his first guitar while attending NMSU. He has spent the next 57 years trying to wrestle the thing to the ground. Thank you so much Wesley & Lafe. Louie & Georgia have played music together for over 55 years. In 1964 their first performance was playing on a flat bed trailer for Bruce King’s Political career in New Mexico at the city park in Moriarty, NM. After they were married on 11-27-1965 Louie continued to play guitar and Georgia was busy raising 2 wonderful children: L.T. Guenther III, and Betty Lou (Guenther) VanDemark.
Louie first played with Lee Kirchmier, Joe Maese Jr., Tony Jaramillo and Jim Latter as The Prisoners, then with Jeane Rich & Friends. In 1982 Georgia started playing Bass guitar with Louie & Jeane Rich. In 1991 Louie & Georgia started playing as 3 Men & A Lady with Jim Frost as Drummer and Jim Rathbun as rhythm guitar. Then changed the name to Mixed Company, as a trio with: Louie, Georgia and Jeane Rich.
